MOSCOW, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- Russian users have switched to national platforms of hotels rooms and rental apartments, and the popularity of foreign services has declined dramatically, according to a research by mobile operator MTS seen by PRIME on Tuesday.
“In the period of March 5–10, the number of users of bronevik.com quadrupled, and the number of users of ostrovok.ru tripled. Demand for services of kvartirka.com increased by 59%, sutochno.ru by 38%, and 101hotels.com by 24%,” the research read.
The number of users of such foreign services as TripAdvisor fell 19% in comparison to the February average, Booking.com by 18%, Agoda by 15%, and Airbnb by 12%. The number of unique users of Trivago plunged 59%.
Division MTS Big Data studied anonymized data about the number of unique users of booking websites from February 14 till March 10.
